Pushy Salespeople

Hello Everyone:

A productive day for yours truly. I got some housework and laundry done with time to spare.  It was nice being able to have a relaxing lunch and shower afterward. In the afternoon, I walked over to the mall to pickup a fresh powder compact and had a rather odd time of it. Odd as in I don't think the sales person knew what I was trying to communicate to her. That led me to think she was new to the store or the line. Even worse, she was being a little aggressive about pushing another more expensive line.  In the end, someone else helped me and was able to understand what I needed. That was the second time I encountered a pushy salesperson. The first time was at another store when I wanted to pick up one measly thing I needed and the salesperson tried to get me to buy the whole line. I realize they have a job to do but part of that job is to listen to the customer. If I need something particular, I don't want the whole kit. I think sometimes these salespeople are so bored that they pounce on anybody that they come in contact with. I'm very good about politely saying "no thank you" but I'm starting to rethink civility. I prefer to be left alone when I shop. If I need help, I'll someone. I don't like some employee hovering over me. Thank goodness for online shopping. At least I don't have to deal with aggressive salespeople. It's fine if a salesperson acknowledges my presence and is polite, after that leave me alone. Let me shop in peace. Bottom line, I got what needed today and was happy with it.
