Hello Everyone:
Great afternoon. The Brit BF and I went back to our weekly Skype date. His very generous sisters bought him a new PC. So great to see and speak to him. He looks good but a bit sleep deprived because he's had to give up his bed to guests. He told me that his mother's funeral was a joyous celebration, as funerals should be. Yes, their sad occasions but rather than weep copious tears, one should celebrate the deceased's life. Not champagne and confetti but remember the good times. That was his mother's funeral. We had a lovely chat about a variety of subjects. I even offered to massage his aching back and other parts. Of course, gladly accepted my offer. I would gladly offer to share my bed with him but I doubt we'd get much sleep. Giggle, blush. Anyway, we had a great chat. I miss him less. I just wish he'd come back already. Maybe one day, soon. I think I may end up visiting him before he comes back. Right now I'm watching the movie Metropolitan. It's a 25-year-old movie about young upper class New Yorkers making astute commentary on life. I'm watching it and think "these twenty-somethings are so cynical." It's kind of like watching an issue of the magazine Vanity Fair come to life. It's smart, funny, and sharp. My kind of writing in general. The characters in the movie are mostly cynical twits concerned with appearances and correct performance of one's assigned role in life. Pretty cool.
