Hello Everyone:
The allergies have been wreaking havoc on me today. Despite the Tylenol I took, my head still hurts. Hopefully a good night's sleep will do the trick. Every time this happens, it makes me kind of spacey. I start to something, the. I lose focus and forget what I'm doing or do something else. I try to concentrate on one thing but my sinuses seem to have other plans. To make matters more interesting, I get irritable. The slightest thing annoys me. Well almost the slightest thing. I finally got to Skype with the Brit BF today and I was so happy. He borrowed his sister's iPad and we chatted for a little while. It was so wonderful to see and talk to him. Made my day. He's got family visiting because his mom's funeral on Friday. Like some families, he has a relative who tends to drink too much and won't acknowledge he has a problem. My dad was like that. The only thing you can do is stay out of the way and insist they get the help the so desperately need. Family functions are good things like that. I remember a few years ago when my eldest nephew was having his Bar Mitzvah, there was a question about whether or not a certain family member would be allowed to attend with his wife and children. You see, the family is my BIL's youngest sibling, who is Jewish, married to a non-Jewish woman. That was a situation ripe for drama because I thought she would use the occasion to insist on coming to the services and reception. Personally speaking, I didn't have a problem with that but this being a very orthodox synagogue, a non-Jewish person would've not been too welcome. I know it sounds narrow minded but that's the way it is. Anyway, none of the potential drama never materialized. Although, it would've fun to watch my sister's head explode. Haha.
