Still Warm

Hello Everyone:

Another warm evening. Not quite as warm as the past couple of days but still warm.  I think the heat has affected my concentration level because I was feeling too distracted to write today.  Even now my attention span is wandering all over the place. I just tried to watch a DVD but the disk was too damaged. I'll have to return it and request a new copy.  At least I managed to back up some folders. Something good came out of it. I may make another attempt at the DVD tomorrow or Thursday. Speaking of writing, I posted another Orlando-related piece. This one was pretty interesting because it talked about queer Muslims. To these people, being LGBTQ and Muslim is not a mutually exclusive thing. It's about find safe places to feel accepted and whole. Hard to do in a setting where everyone is taught that homosexuality is a sin. Islam doesn't have the corner on that one, other religions carry the message.  The article focused on the United States but I wonder where are the safe places in predominantly Asian and African countries?  Maybe I'll get my answer another day. Anyway, the concentration is evaporating again. It's still warm but there's a nice breeze right now. More later.
