Hello Everyone:
Sunday evening. The end of another weekend. I'm getting ready to watch the movie Concussion. It's kind of a timely movie, given the passing of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. I told the Brit BF that I hope something positive comes out his death. More funding for research and treatment of CTE and a way to make the sport, and other contact sports, safer. He reminded me that people pay to see two people hit each other and the participants choose to play a sport where they get bashed around. I can understand why boys get into boxing and football. What I don't understand is why is necessary to entertain people by watching boxers best each other to pulp. I guess it's a primal thing. You know gladiators and all that. Maybe someone will also do research into Parkinson's disease. In happier news, another good opportunity landed in my inbox. It's an opening at a small firm in San Diego. In the meantime, I still need some sort of stop-gap job. I'm thinking telemarketing or something like that. Beats retail, slightly. Back to the movie, Will Smith is incredibly good. Why he wasn't nominated for an Oscar is a mystery. Tomorrow, I start fresh and ready to.
