A Pretty Good Wednesday

Hello Everyone:

Finally the heatwave has broken for now and I can actually get some sleep. Did I ever mention how much I hate any and all hot weather?  Well I do. In general, I had a pretty good day. I did my weekly grocery shopping in the morning and blogged all afternoon. I decided to a break from the Presodential race and blog about a local ballot measure. It was a long one that I started about a week ago but got preempted by current events. It has to with planning in Los Angeles and creating more affordable housing. By that I mean, Los Angeles needs more housing units across the board. They rent is too high and the supply is too low. I thought the opponents's argument made more sense. They argued for incremental change. The group sponsoring the measure is an AIDS healthcare arguing that high-density is a public health hazard. They don't have any studies to back it up. It was rather nice to sit down to a meal without mom's endless chattering about who knows what. She had a doctor's appointment across town so she was gone most of the afternoon. I was kind of hoping she'd order take away this evening but didn't, which was fine because I made myself a nice light supper.  My ear is almost completely healed. It's still draining stuff and it itches. Anyway, time to go to bed. Later.
