Thursday's thoughts

Hi All:

Happy news to share with everyone.  I got an email today from USC and they are conferring my master's degree.  The diploma is in the mail.  Hooray, cue the fireworks and marching band.  It's truly official, I am a master.  Boy I can't wait to see it.  I should finally invest in some frames for my diplomas and certificates.  Did I also mention that as an undergrad, I made university honors and I'm a member of The Golden Key International Honors Society?  Pretty nifty, no?  I can't wait to see it.  Now for the hard part, finding a job.

If it sounds like I'm bragging it's because moments like this are meant for tooting one's horn.  I really worked long and hard for this and I want to broadcast this achievement.  Now I really feel motivated to get the additional piercings and tattoos.  I still want to go through with it.  I'm not as skittish about the tattoo part anymore.  Hey maybe I'll get two, why not?  Two piercings and two tattoos why the heck not?  Do I sound too giddy?  Nah.

In other news, I realized today that I shouldn't go too long between meals.  I had to take mom to the doctor today for an early afternoon appointment.  I hadn't sat down yet to eat lunch and I was starting to feel a bit dizzy.  When I got home I made myself lunch and despite that I have a throbbing headache.  Ah well live and learn.  It wasn't deliberate or anything like that.  It was more of a random moment.  I think next time, I'll take with me some food.  This doctor visit was sort of spur of the moment so I really couldn't plan my lunch around it.  Anyway, next I'll know better.
