Sunday rambling while listening to Duran Duran

Hi All and Happy Sunday.

Welcome Saudi Arabia.  This is a nice surprise.  I hope you enjoy reading my posts.  My goal is to be as honest and authentic as possible in sharing my experiences.  I don't mean to offend anyone's sensibilities I just present myself as myself.  I welcome you and hope you keep coming back.

Sorry about Friday everyone, I had to take mom to the doctor for a last minute appointment and then I got busy.  Such as life.  So the great news is that I'm on track for that double piercing, part of my ongoing rite of passage celebration finishing my master's degree.    I just have to wait for my tax refund.  Patience, patience, my posterior.  Right now, I'm mellowing out at my local coffee establishment, listening to a great DD song, "Skin Trade."  It's got a great beat and is part of a trio albums in the late eighties early nineties that marked a new maturity in their music: "Notorious, Big Thing, and DuranDuran" (a.k.a "The Wedding Album").  I have to control myself because I really want to get up an dance.  This song has a great beat.  Friday, I was in a really irritated mood.  I think it was because I was pms-ing and this last minute appointment.  Now I'm Listening to the DD reunion album "Astronaut."  Again, self control is very necessary here to keep from dancing.  The song I'm listening to is a very optimistic song, "Reach Up (For The Sunrise)."  It's full of hope and faith.  Anyway, back to what I was saying, so this last minute appointment combined with the pms really set off the day and most of Saturday.  Fortunately it wasn't so bad that I required "the cure" (coffee, chocolate, and DD music).  Last night, I had a really fun and sexy conversation via Facebook messaging with my on/off boyfriend.  Poor guy is really at his wit's end taking care of his ailing father and his mother.  His mother is also not and in the best of health and is stressed out to the max.  He started by responding to a post I put up about some senator's colossal  WTF comment.  Anyway, after the requisite catching up, I mentioned my proposed double piercing, one in my single pierced ear and another in a body part to be named later.  I was teasing him about it.  Now I'm listening to "Bedroom Toys"  self control, self control.  Must add this to my playlist.  O.k. I'm really rambling on here.  I should not listen to DD while I blog, cook, or anything that demands concentration.  I one time sliced a finger while listening to a live version of "Hungry Like The Wolf" and making salad.  I can be so silly.

Later
