Possible Interview

Hello Everyone: Today is the Brit BF's official last day in town. Barring any last minute change in policy, he'll be on his way back to the United Kingdom. I'm grateful for the extra time with him. We didn't do anything exciting but just the fact he was here, next to me in bed or in the next room made life more enjoyable, more bearable. I'm going to miss him but I know he's committed to coming back and getting married. I want that too. Sadly, I don't get more time with because he needs to go back and go to work. In the meantime, I applied for a customer service job at a local department store and, now, I'm trying to set up a phone interview. The job calls for a flexible schedule and be able to work with computers. I can do both. I just hope it's not a seasonal job. I really want something permanent. What I don't get is why there's a delay in setting up a time. I mean if you're an employer, looking for employees, and advertise you're hiring immediately, why not set up interviews right away? Nothing makes sense about the current hiring process. Employers say they need employees but drag their feet or offer only temporary employment. I want permanent work, not something that'll be over before I get settled in. Hopefully I'll get to talk to someone and find out more about the job. I like the fact that I can walk to work and it's a nice place. I know someone who works at the store but she didn't refer me to the job. I'm sure it'll work out.
