Emotional Up And Down

Helli Everyone: What a weekend. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. On Thursday, we went to a Thanksgiving meal at the mother of one of the Brit BF's friends. The mum was part of a famous seventies trio and actor, who was on some sitcoms. I got to meet some more of his friends, who were all quite nice. There was a ton of food and we took some home. My favorite thing was the home made made macaroni and cheese. Oh my goodness was it good and creamy. I was so used to the box stuff that home made version was a total revelation. Saturday was a bit of a depressing day because the Brit BF was supposed to go home (more on that in a minute). It was hard to let go especially now that we're officially engaged. I tried to keep it together but after he left, I went upstairs and had a good cry. I also had a sinus migrane, which made me feel worse. I ended up staring mindlessly into a screen, catching up on my streaming shows. In the middle of my program, the Brit BF called to tell that, because of some administrative issue, he missed his flight and was getting a ride back to my place. Honestly, I was a little happy about his situation because it meant more time with him. We sort of have it the matter sorted out and he doesn't leave until Tuesday. I don't know if I can say good bye to him again. I guess I have to because he has to go back to work to make his return possible. I'll just try to keep it together.
