Ready To Work Again

Hello Everyone: It was a toasty start to the week and now I have a sinus headache. Fortunately I took an ibuprophen tablet and hopefully it should help. The sinus headache does make it hard to think straight. This too shall pass. I went to visit a friend today who's mourning the loss of her father. The father was 96-years-old and lived a full life. My friend was sad but not falling down on the ground sad because she was able to care for him during his last days. I know from my own experience how difficult it can be but she's an emotionally strong person with a tremendous amount of religious faith. Some of her family members were also there so I chatted with them. One of her son's was Nephew #2's science teacher in middle school. It wasn't a somber get together nor was a happy one. It was just a group of us,sitting on her front patio chatting away. Sis mentioned that she plans to stop by when she gets back from her weekend trip. In the meantime, I patiently wait to go back to work. I'm really looking forward to it and just because I like the paycheck. I missed the people I worked with. We all got to know each other and not having that to look forward made for kind of a dull day. I could definitely see myself getting together with some of the people outside of work. I also missed the public health aspect of the work. I liked learning everything I could about COVID and public health and I want to do more. Anyway, the recruiter said I should be getting some emails about going back soon and I'll be looking out for them.
