Friday the 13th

Hello Everyone: I wish I could say the whole drama over getting the necessary work equipment is over but, it isn't. Instead, the situation has settled down a bit. Things came to a head on Friday--naturally the 13th--when a work-issued check I deposited was flagged as a forgery. I didn't even know that until I found an envelope on my doorstep with another check and messages from my bank. The wire transfer I attempted to make didn't go through because the check I deposited was flagged as a forgery. Needless to say I was pissed to high hell at the pissant and this idiot of bean counter at the company. Let's put it this way, I was so mad that I told the pissant that if we kept talking, I was going to say something regrettable and, for a change, he wisely backed off for the rest of the day. The idiot bean counter and an associate weren't much better. In fact, they made the situation worse. I had to stop talking to them as well. I ended up sending a long email to corporate management about it. The next day the associate texted me with an apology. After some back and forth, I told him I had to step out for a while (true). When I got back, I texted him to say that I believe that he was genuiny trying to resolve matters. After a bit more back and forth, we came to some resolution. I still plan on working for the company but I also sent a resume to a local school and, if they call in for an interview, I'd go to the appointment. If the school offered me the job, I'd take it in a heartbeat. The thing is I don't want to give up on the corporate job because I do see making a place for myself. The data entry job is, what I call an gateway job. It could lead me to something bettee. Anyway, tomorrow is a fresh and hopefully better week.
