Having Options

Hello Everyone: I really think work things are finally moving in the right direction. The technical issues appear to be behind me and the whole debacle with the wire transfer is dead and buried. Now I can finally focus my full attention on learning my job and doing it well. Another interesting development is two more good leads came my way. The first is a teacher's assistant at a local religious school. The hours and pay made it worth my time to send off a resume and application. I heard back from someone who told me that job I applied for was filled but there was another opening and he'd pass along my resume. That's a good thing. Another good thing was a career job at a local natural history museum. Again, the hours and pay made it worth my time and attention, so I applied there too. Why not? It's good to have options. In the meantime, the survey company job is firm and also offers a career path. All good if you ask me. If it came down to a choice between the school, museum, and the survey company, I'd probably go with the museum because it's what I want. Right now, the museum and school jobs are just in the application stage. I know I should finally settle on something for good and I will but I need to be happy with my choice. There's no point in doing anything if you're not happy with it. True, sometimes you have to settle with what's in front of you, even if it's not the ideal option. However, every once in a rare while you find yourself in a situation where you can get what you want and it's everything you imagined. It's gold when it happens and you have to grab it. Anyway, the survey company job is what I have in front of me right now and it's what I'll do and do it well. I look forward to it.
