Enjoyed The Long Weekend

Hello Everyone: I had the best Memorial Day in a while. I slept late, published the latest blog post, and even got an errand done. Sounds a little pathetic but after everything I've had to deal with over the past two years or so, I absolutely deserved to sleep in. Thank you to my wonderful supervisor for giving us the day off. I only got a little anxous around noon because that's usually the time I have to start the whole log in ceremony for work. The feeling quickly passed. I really didn't miss work today. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the job and the paycheck that comes with it. I work with a great group of people, which makes things go better. I just don't miss the daily pile of bollocks like constantly shifting policies and procedures. Originally, I thought I get all the stuff I've been neglecting done today but decided that I wanted to do the one thing I really enjoy, write and publish a new post. I did put on a pair of Earbuds but it was to listen to music, not some endless Zoom call. I think tomorrow I'll take some time during the day to check out and maybe apply somewhere for permanant employment. I decided I would like to work somewhere I can go to everyday or, at least, most of the week. The work from home thing is nice but over it. I would love to work in a place where I have a real reason to go through hair, makeup, and wardrobe everyday. What can I say, I like to make an effort. It's nice not having to do that for work but I try to for the my own sake. I'm equally guilty of working in my track pants and a hoodie. The upside of my job is we're not doing video calls with people so I can literally get away with working in my bathrobe and night shirt. Come to think of it, I might've done that. Anyway, tomorrow it's back to the same old, same old until the Fourth of July weekend. I hope we get another long weekend.
