Excused Absence

Hello Everyone: Another routine day almost done. I am so looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Thank you COVID vaccine. I just hope I don't have any serious side effects. The best part of tomorrow is not having open that cumbersome work laptop. One more good thing about Wednesday is that it's pay day. Wednesdays are pay day and I'm eager to start going back to the hair salon on a regular basis. I badly need a haircut. Eventually, I'll go back to getting to regular cut and color. I can't wait to finally get rid of it. Anyway, one thing I'm looking forward to post-vaccine is finally being able to go mask-free. I'll be able to go running, mask-free, as long as no one else is around. As for work, I think I'm finally starting to get it. I had a long chat with him and we came to the conclusion that I really need to get on the data entry/analysis team. I'm more suited to analytic work, not customer service work. I've done customer service work and I can do a credible job but I'd rather be taking information, analyzing it, and doing something with it. I hope I can get switch teams because it would mean not having to fake empathy and compassion. I still think that after a year plus into the pandemic, people should know by now what to do and not do. Human behavior is what it is. You tell someone to wear a mask, socially distance themselves, and wash their hands, they'll do the opposite. Or worse, go to extremes like wiping down groceries. No in between. I mean it sucks to have a disease that has no real treatment and can kill you but a person can take steps to safeguard themselves. I can't believe that there are people who won't take the vaccine because they believe it's untested and toxic. It's neither one. Again, people are people and will behave in all sorts of ways that are contrary to common sense. It's just about bed time.
