Slow Pokes

Hello Everyone: A good start to the week. Work was back to it's usual slow pace, at least on my end of the world. I'm pretty sure it the pace will pick up as it gets closer to the start of the fall term. In other news, some of my new work mates are annoying me. I know, it took long enough. There are a couple of sources of my annoyance: First, some of my new work mates have children, which isn't a problem in of itself. However, I,and probably my other work mates, can hear the children squealing in the background which makes it hard to concentrate on what's being said. Second, some of my new work mates still don't have a grasp on the basics or even how to use the laptop. Pretty pathetic, right. I don't quite understand how, after nearly two months (?!) on the job, someone doesn't get the basics of the job? I mean there's not that much to memorization involved but come on. As for not being able to grasp the basics of the laptop, it seems that some of my new work mates aren't Windows people. Well, neither am I but it's not that difficult to go from one operating system to the other. I've my issues with the work laptop but nothing that would really keep me from doing my job quickly and efficiently. A real pet peeve of my mine with this new work assignment is how many unnecessary steps we need to take to complete the task. It seems to me that I shouldn't have to stop, look up information in a separate screen, then go back. I should be able to pop out the information I need, on one screen. I like to work as efficiently as possible, no breaks in the action. When I have to stop and switch screens, it breaks my flow. Anyway, another half hour to go then bed time.
