Too Many Options
Hello Everyone:
I had a good day. I went to the dollar store and, even though there was a line at the cashier, it went fast. So happy about that because the cashier lines at the store are not managed at all and there's never enough people at the registers. I did get most of what I needed and a few things from my grocery store list. Otherwise, it was a lovely day. I found myself contemplating taking the exam for a teacher's credential. From what I've heard from people who have taken it, it's not a terribly difficult exam like the one for medical school. Why would I do that? The whole job opening with the local school district thing has got me thinking about career options. I certainly meet the school district's basic eligibilty requirements. The only missing are the credentials and one or two other things. One of the customer service jobs I applied to got back to me with a request for more information. I uploaded (again) my resume and ticked off what are my employment interests are. One of the areas is real estate. Ok, this is customer service job for the auto association so I have no idea where the real estate comes in. Maybe looking for new buildings to put their branch offices? Whatever. I'll just be happy if they hire me for a customer service job. There are a couple of other openings that interest me so I have choices. This is the problem, too many choices with different career potential. Right now I'm focused on finding a job that pays the bill, once that's secured, pivot to the career.
