The Future

Hello Everyone: Sorry about yesterday, I had a phone issue that necessitated I shut down for a while. Basically what happened is my phone wasn't charging because some moisture got in to it. I had to shut down for a couple of hours and bury it in bag of grains--in this case, quinoa. This meant I couldn't access my hotspot to go online. Fortunately I found something else to do but I did find out one thing, quinoa may be great for drying out phones but getting rid of the residue can be a pain. Next time I'll use couscous. What I really need to do is replace the cracked screen on my phone. That should help keep out the moisture. Yesterday, the BIL and I had a conversation about the expenses. It was a good conversation, on my end, because I was able to clearly and plainly state my needs without hysterics and accusations. I was also able to clarify what he meant by living expenses. It seems we're on the same page about that, it's just my goal of self-sufficiency isn't moving quite as fast as I'd like it to. He also suggested I file for unemployment. I'm not so sure about it but,it's better I do and find out if I qualify than not do and never know. In the meantime, I have applications in to a couple more places that could provide me with a steady source of income. Being self-sufficient can genuinely suck but I love it. Anyway, I'm also looking at this time to explore other avenues of long term employment. The teaching thing is still attractive to me I would most definitely make a really cool high school teacher. The good news is I don't have to take all three parts of the licensing exam all at once. Even though I have the academic credentials, I still need to learn how to teach. There's a real skill to it. I need to learn how to write a lesson plan, how to stand in front of a class full of bored students and engage them. I find that the best teachers are the ones that got me excited about the subjects I studied in school and the strict ones. The strict ones are the teachers who push their students to be the very best version of themselves. To think and probe deeper into a subject. You learn from those teachers. So for now, my game plan is find a job that provides income, while focusing on the future.
