Good Start To The Day

Hello Everyone:

A pretty quiet start to the week.  I was quite pleased with myself this morning when I got up early enough to meditate, prepare and eat my breakfast before I had to roll mum to the table.  I got into the habit of waiting for her to call me to fetch her, thus giving some time to prepare the basics for her meal and eat something.  This way I don't feel too rushed.  Today, I got through most of my meal before I had to actually get her.  I did check in on her ahead of time, just to see if she was still asleep.  She wasn't and told me what to have ready for her.  I did have a bit of struggle with mum getting to decide what she needed me to do before I entered the blogosphere, laundry or groceries.  She said she needed both but I explained that I don't have the time or the patience for both and she needed to pick one.  Mum picked the laundry.  Fine.  Tomorrow I'll get her groceries.  I had a great blogging session today, posting something on racism and public health.  The sources I used were quite revealing and gave me a glimpse as to how deep the issue is.  I think this something I may come back to in the future.  Anyway, right now I'm nursing my latest grudge with my sister over the whole thing with the caregiver cost.  I think it's reckless to stop paying for someone who's trained to look after the elderly and selfish of her to expect to do everything.  I've made it quite clear that I can't do everything nor will I be trapped in the house with mum because of it.  My sister is nothing more than privileged, self righteous brat.  Anyway, it's just about dinner time.
