Zen Holiday
Hello Everyone:
Sunday evening and time to blog. Yom Kippur came and went without drama or headache. The modified fast helped offset the headaches and nausea. I had enough energy in the morning to go for a walk. The weather was warm but pleasant enough to do it. It helped clear my head and gave me more energy to make it through the day. I spent the day itself reading a couple of books, finished one. I will say one positve thing: I didn’t feel like I had to do anything in particular. No quickly getting dressed to go to services or anything like that. I think the fact that I didn’t feel rushed made it easier for me to engage in some self-reflection on past deeds. There are things I can do better. That evening, I had a nice light meal, cleaned up, and went to bed. The next day it was back to the same-old-same-old. This includes the way mum considers me just the help. She swears she doesn’t do that but the way she always asks me to do things, like lock the front door, because she’s too lazy to do it herself. Anyway, the second half of the High Holler-Days and it should be a little more manageable. At least, I’m not sis and the BIL who have to buy a new car and washer after their machine broke down. Schadenfreude is a good thing.
