Living The Life

Hello Everyone:

Nothing like a nice start to the week, however long it is.  By that I mean Yom Kippur starts Tuesday evening and time seems suspended until the Fast is over.  Personally speaking, I plan to modify my fast to keep from feeling the nasty after effects.  I already told mum that once the Yom Kippur is officially over, I plan to get started with the meal preparations.  I'm anticipating that we'll be sitting down by 7:30 p.m., give or take.  I joke with her that if she still saying the Yom Kippur service prayers by midnight, she's on her own.  I've just reconciled myself to dealing with it like every Jewish holiday, just get through it as best as possible. Better that way then generating any drama.  Mum can generate her own drama just leave me out of it.  Anyway, in other news the Brit BF has a great opportunity on the horizon in a face-to-face with someone from The Cartoon Network.  I feel optimistic about it and whatever great opportunities come his way to the point where I googled a couple of local chi-chi apartment complexes.  They looked nice but I realized I want a life, not a lifestyle.  I came to this realization checking all the "resort-like" amenities.  I focused on the floor plans and whether or not there was an in-unit washer and dryer.  Things like a WiFi lounge with free coffee and a gym are nice amenities but not a necessity.  The Brit BF likes the lifestyle but he's down-to-earth enough not to get too dazzled by it all.  Anyway, living the life is a long way off.
