Not Interesting At All

Hello Everyone:

A very toasty Monday today and I had to go to sis's house for the last of the High Holler-day meals.  Thank goodness, I'm so ready to for a long break from the madness.  Anyway, I met the woman touted to be this published writer on all things relationships, inventor, talk show host, YouTube talk show host ( I just checked her out), and was not impressed.  You would think someone with such a list of accomplishments would have something interesting to say, right?  No.  Instead, all she seemed to talk about was her children and grandchildren.  I guess I can allow her to be off duty.  One interesting observation, when I mentioned that I write about issues related to cities her eyes glazed over like she didn't have a clue what I meant.  Again, I could've elaborated a little but when I saw the expression on her face, I decided not to try because she probably doesn't keep up.  Her husband, on the other hand, was far more interesting to speak to.  He's a pain management physician so we had a lovely chat on cannabis and the opioid crisis  I seem to enjoy chatting more with husbands than I do with the wives because the wives always seem to talk about "the kids" and recipes.  Would you believe this woman thought I was a chef?  Haha.  Oh well, at least for the rest of the week (month or year) I don't have engage with the hausfraus.
