Soaked

Hello Everyone:

Greetings from water-logged Los Angeles. Thanks to the perpetual rain we've been experiencing, I'm starting to think a boat might be the best way to get around. My umbrella officially died today, totaled by the U.K. rain and the endless wet weather. I think it's great that all the rain has eased the draught but I'm ready for a few days of warm weather.  Just warm enough weather so I don't have bundle up when I go down to check the mail. It's funny, I was watching The Inauguration on Friday and one of the ministers came up to the podium to give a benediction. Before he started, he noted the rain and said it was a sign of divine blessing. As it happened, it was raining here, at the same time. I looked out my window and said to the Man in White: "don't you think you're over doing it?"  I wouldn't have a problem if I lived in a city where it rain e a lot. I don't, I live in Los Angeles where, like most people, I get a little freaked out by the rain. I can take it small doses but not one soaking after the other. I think there's suppose to be a break in the action for the next week. Good. Another thing about the rain is that it's made me a little on the lazy side. Not lazy as in I don't want to go out for my morning run, when it's dry. More like, I don't want to pick my bag and trudge over the Business Center to work. The consequence of that is I have to deal with an incredibly slow hotspot connection. Maybe tomorrow I'll make my over and ask the ladies to turn off the air conditioner. Other than that, it was a pretty decent day. I posted some pictures from my museum trip last week and had a few minutes to start another pictorial post before I just gave up with the hotspot.  Back at it tomorrow.
