Hello Everyone:
What day this has been. I watched the first American woman nominated by a major party for the presidential election. I still can't believe it. It's the most amazing thing I've seen today or in recent memory. What's really cool is that it gives young girls the very real idea that they can be president. I'm watching former President Clinton give a very nice and warm speech about Madame Secretary that humanized her. It's thrilling to see a woman beginning to pound holes in the glass ceiling. Soon, there will be a hole and women will climb through. Way better than anything I heard last week. In other news, mom's battle for air conditioning continues. Today she met with someone in administration who told her that she basically two options. The first option is to move to another apartment with all the amenities, including air conditioner. The downside is that rent control would not follow us. We would have to pay the market rate, which is over $2,000. The other option is to get a portable air conditioner. That was my idea too. That pencils out better than moving to a different apartment or installing a window unit. I think mom will give that serious consideration. It's still hot but not uncomfortable for me. The weather doesn't bother me that much. Anyway back to former President Clinton.
