Quiet Fourth

Hello Everyone:

Happy Amxit (Independence Day) to one and all. I spent the day doing not a whole lot. Once in a while I need to take a break from the writing and just let the brain go. Right now, I watching another movie. Not as exciting as Star Wars but just as fascinating to watch. I really did love Star Wars and can't wait for the next episode. I was messaging with the Brit BF today about the chaos on his side of The Pond. All I can say is G-D Bless America. As dysfunctional as the United States is, I'd rather live here. I know I've expressed an interest in living in the UK and I still but with all the insanity going on, I can deal with chaotic Presidential elections. I don't blame my guy for wanting to permanently move here but he needs work.  I need work too. This morning, during my run, I went by a bridal shop with a help wanted side in the window. I thought about it but I'd be the salesperson telling future brides not to bother with all the expense on a dress that makes them look like a parade float. Or the salesperson who tells the plus size brides we don't have their size, when we do. I know that's mean but I'd make a terrible bridal shop employee. For myself, I have almost no use for sugary phony bridal store employees.  Anyway, enough about bridal stores. Overall, it's been a pretty quiet day. Maybe I'll watch some fireworks show later. What I would really love to do one day is attend the annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks shows in New York and Washington D.C. I've watched them on television and I want to see them in person. One year, Washington D.C and one year, New York. They're big deals and look like a lot fun.  For now, it's just another quite Fourth of July.
