Ball Of Confusion

Hello Everyone:

The world has gone completely mad. Another terror attack in France, a shooting in Baltimore, Maryland, two African American shot dead by the police, five police officers killed. You get the picture. It could make a sane person go insane.  You try to find distractions to keep the crap from getting to you but somehow, the crap has a way of finding you. There are some days when I'd rather read the entertainment and fashion press than the real news. Sure it's frivolous but sometimes it's better than reading about the American elections. I might have to start following sports. I almost went off on a major rant on the social media. Personally speaking, I've had enough of the shootings, the bombings, people being mowed down by a crazy guy in a truck.  In a way I can understand why some European countries are taking a more conservative turn. These seemingly random acts scare the crap out of average citizens who turn to their governments to do something. Yet, nothing gets done. It's back to the same old, same old. I believe that banning certain religious or ethnic groups isn't the answer. Just offering prayers and love, however nice sentiment, isn't enough. What is the answer?  Who knows?  Somewhere between the extreme is the answer.
