Hello Everyone:
I had a very good day. This morning a piece of good news landed in my inbox. A work at home job with the people that administer the SATs offered me a job reading the exams. Fantastic. A little bit of a financial cushion. Second, I applied to one of the local musiems for a writing job. I made sure to play up my good digital skills. Then I spent time watching the DNC Convention. Awesome first day. After a rocky start, the first day ended on an awesomely rousing note with a barn burner speech by Bernie Sanders. I had fun distracting mom with sightings of Bill Clinton. She's been crushing on him since 1992. In short, a very good day. Tomorrow, I plan to do some work at home because of the bi-monthly PLB art class. Mom kind of made me laugh today. She's on this crusade to get an air conditioner installed in the apartment. I get it, it's been beastly hot and the fans have been going all day and night. It's actually a little better today. I tried to tell that it's not a requirement and an extra expense. She's following through with the Resident's Association and the administration. Kind of makes me laugh because she doesn't understand that having an air conditioning is not a legal requirement. The only way she make that argument is if it was a medical necessity and she had a doctor's note. She doesn't but okay. Whatever.
