Hello Everyone:
I decided to work at home today partly because I was feeling a little lazy, it was hot, and my allergies were bothering me. I watched some of the Convention on YouTube and started to go a little out of my mind. I had it on during the nominating roll call vote. It seemed that before every state and territory announced their vote (like there was any doubt as to who), each representative went on about the virtues of their state. If that wasn't bad enough, the representatives had to carry on about the Repiblican credentials. After a few states of this, I started thinking do we really have that many states and territories? Apparently, we do. There's more to come next when the Democrats takeover the spotlight. Then there's a lull until after Labor Day. Apropos for the Convention, I'm watching House of Cards.
In other news, mom is after me to do some shopping and is willing to give me some money to do so. Sounds like a great deal? I keep telling her that I think it's a waste of time. Really it's my body image issues rearing their ugly head again. I done a fairly good job of convincing mysel that I look terrible in everything. Also, I haven't actually done any clothes shopping in such a long time that I have no idea where to start. What do I do in a clothing boutique? I know what I like, it's just that I get so overwhelmed that I just walk out empty handed. Mom also insists that I not buy makeup. Well, could use some new blush and lip pencil. Ugh, I need help.
