Hello Everyone:
Yesterday afternoon was complete exercise in frustration. I got to the PLB Business Center only to find out every place is taken up by some activity or another. I thought, for a minute, about sitting in the patio of the cafe or at my local coffee emporium but I really can't work in those places. Too distracting. I thought maybe the library but the Wi-Fi is too spotty. To make matters worse, it was hot and my bag was weighing a ton. I went home and just vented to mom and the Brit BF. I explained to mom my situation, apologized for my tantrum, and surprisingly she understood, suggesting I check out the cost of internet service for the house. I don't think anything will come out of it, unless I reminder a half a dozen times. The Brit BF suggested I cruise the local chain book store and people watch. Did that. Mostly hung out in the fashion and beauty section. Real time thought-elderly woman in a crop top-no, major no. I digress. I told both mom and the Brit BF that if anyone ever x-rayed my back and shoulders, they'd be amazed I can still stand upright. This is how heavy my bag can get. Mom asked if there was a way to lighten the load. I told her yes there was a way but it involved investing in a new laptop. Not that it's a bad thing. After all I do have my eye on a new MacBook and it weighs less than my current laptop. However, that another discussion for another day. What all this boils down to is the fact that I really need a set work place so I don't have to find a place. The down side to that is I'd end up a hermit but it would make things a little easier in terms of doing work on the computer. I would just have to force myself to leave the house. What makes the whole situation frustrating is no matter who I talk to about a set work center, nothing seems to get done. It's like no one inn PLB Management wants to consider setting a work center for people to come and do quiet work without having to battle senior exercise classes or kiddie art classes. It's just so mind numbingly upsetting to me and some other people I spoke to. In the meantime, I have to deal with all this nonsense and wreck my back in the process.
