Hello Everyone:
It's a very mellow Tuesday evening and I'm just finishing up a light supper. The whole day has been pretty mellow, which is to say, like most days of the week. That's a good thing. If each day was chaotic, then I'd probably be on tranquilizer say now. I've been reading Time magazine's annual "100 Most Influential People" issue and it's filled with the usual mix of celebrities and actual people who make a difference. The editors get other famous people to write short fawning essays about the honoree. Some of the people I can see earning a place, others probably had their publicist maneuver their way in. Like most media related things, it's a lot of bullocks. I mean, who or what decides who gets in? Do the editors just throw darts at people's pictures? Regardless, it's just some light reading material. Mom was just carrying on about nothing, as usual. I think she was attempting to fill the quiet with something. Instead, it was just the usual noise. Anyway, the chatter hasn't wrecked my mellow mood. Not shaken or stirred. It's just something to waste a few minutes. The writing session was pretty good today. No technical issues or slow servers, just writing all afternoon. One other thing that's helped the last couple of days, I've been listening to a podcast called Serial. It's one story, told week by week. The story I'm listening to is a murder mystery, in which the wrong person may have gone to prison for it. The reporter is very good about asking the right questions and presenting all sides of the story. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Anyway, I want to finish cleaning up and crash for the evening.
