A Splendid Time

Hello Everyone:

I just spent a rather fun afternoon cruising the galleries at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I finally got to see this really cool exhibit "Haunted Screens."  The exhibit was centered on early twentieth century German cinema. It featured drawings, posters and films from some of the great directors of early motion picture. It was pretty easy to see how it all formed the foundation of American motion pictures, particularly the noir genre. I also cruised the modern art gallery and the Pavilion for Japanese Art-a favorite place of mine. I took a ton of pictures and shared/sent some to the Brit BF. I snap a Marc Chagall painting for mom, I call "Fiddler of the Roof."  I picked up some postcards that I'm going to send him. One of the card reminded me of us. I just wish he could've been there to spend the day with me. I hope that one day, soon, we can stroll through the Tate or the Victoria and Albert Museum. I should start spending more time in galleries and museums. A definite fun afternoon.
