I so glad the week is over. I had this minor cold that was making me miserable. It's mostly gone but I still need the weekend to rest up. I finally finished the post from hell. It was a post-election piece that would ordinarily take me one sitting to complete but being plagued with a cold and really bad WiFi just made the whole thing feel like a slog through the mud. I was feeling much better yesterday and managed to get through the day without wanting to collapse in bed with the covers pulled up. This morning I found myself gasping for breath during my park workout, telling me I need a little more rest. No worries, that's what the weekend is for. I felt a little spoiled this week because I got to talk to the Brit BF twice: Tuesday and yesterday. His mom has been in the hospital after having a mild stroke and falling in her house. Fortunately, she's improving and now the doctors are trying to move her to the physiotherapy ward. Mom was teasing about the way I talking to him on Tuesday, specifically the way I was referring to him as "darling" or telling him that I love and miss him. I guess she's never heard terms of endearment uttered in her direction. She still can't stand the fact that I have any sort of relationship with him but you what, too bad. I'm not even sure about the nature of the relationship vis-a-vis duration and sentiment. What I am sure about is I enjoy spending time with him and we're both not ready for wedding bells. The closet we get to that subject is that childish game game of let's pretend. Anyway, I'm getting hungry and I have some housework left to do. So we'll chat later.
