A Frustrating Afternoon

Hello Everyone:

Happy Veteran's Day.  Today is the day to thank a soldier or sailor for heir service.  Actually, you should thank them every day.

I am at the end of a very frustrating afternoon.  I've been trying to finish this post election blog post I started yesterday with no success.  I had it all planned to take up residency at my local coffee place today only to get there and find no place to sit.  So I make my over to the nearest chain bookstore and manage to find two-square inches to sit and work.  I should say make an attempt to work because of the insanely crappy internet connection.  I finally gave up and returned to the coffee place and staked out a very comfortable armchair and treated myself to a very delicious small pumpkin spice latte.  Aggrevating the situation is the fact I'm not feeling well.  It feels like I'm getting a cold.  The upside of this frustration is I got a surprise phone call from the Brit BF around lunch time.  Always great to talk to him.  He has such a warm and soothing voice.  At least I didn't have to deal with mom's bored child routine (mommy, I'm bored).  As I told the Brit BF, "as they say in Texas, come hell or high water, I'm finishing that post."  It's just so incredibly frustrating to have to compete with oldies exercise classes, kiddie art class, and assorted other events.  I hate having to find alternate places to work.  At least he coffee emporium is very close and usually pretty good.  Even more mind numbing is today is a federal holiday and every place seems to be soooooooo crowded.  I hate crowds.  Thank goodness tomorrow is another day.
