Need A Workspace

Hello Everyone:

Isn't technology great?  I can talk to whomever I want, when and wherever I please.  It can also act like my mom, constantly reminding me to do something.  The something in this case is a job application for the City of Los Angeles Planning Department.  Alright, I was the one who set up the reminder alert.  I'm sure if I switched on my laptop, a reminder will be there too.  I can't complain because I want to send in the application and hopefully get on the list for the planner's test.  The planner's test is the first step in the process.  If I do well, I move on to the interview phase.  Let's hope for the best.  Speaking of good things, the Brit BF has been sharing some career-related good news lately.  I'm happy for him and secretly hoping it'll him coming back to Los Angeles and opening an office.  Right now, I really need a work space because the powers that be at PLB are slowly taking away the available indoor work space; converting it into an exercise studio.  This would be all well and fine if I could benefit from it but nooo.  The management suits seem cool to the idea of converting a basement classroom into a work center.  I get the fact that PLB is hard up for renters and wants to make the place more attractive to would be tenents but they should also be responsive to the current residents.  The current residents can and do talk, especially on the social media sites, so it might behoove the suits to make them happy.  After all, word of mouth or net is the best advertising.  Anyway, I just have to make do in the meantime.  I guess this is the universe's way of telling me it's high time for a real job.
