Finally a Wednesday I don't have rush around like a crazy person. Three out of the four previous Wednesdays, I had to run around like the Mad Hatter getting the grocery shopping done, doing the laundry, and cleaning the house before the next Jewish holiday starts. All of that flurry of activity left me too tired to do much else other than chill out in front of the television. Finally, today, I don't have to hurry up and get things done-Yea. I can even catch up on a chore from last week. In other news, I submitted an application to the City of Los Angeles Planning Department for a Planning Assistant position. Fortunately, the process didn't take too long and no one asked about my dress size. The planning department opened a qualifying category for people with a degree in historic preservation but not a lot of experience. I qualify on that end and judging from the informational pamphletI downloaded, it seems they have a lot of good things going on. It also doesn't hurt that the pay and benefits are good. Hopefully, I'll get on the list of candidates to take the planner's exam. This morning, I came across some other prospects that I want to check out. It's a matter of who can outlast who. I'll just keep throwing stuff out and something'll stick. That's I or anyone else can do. I have my other blog and diversions to keep me sane and out of the malls. I'm just really grateful I have a supportive guy in my corner who inspires me to think big. I think mom is also trying to be supportive but it's hard to tell. I'm not too good at mind reading. Regardless, I hope this opening or something else pans out.v
