Friday October 24 Ramblings

Hello Everyone:

Finally all caught with my chores.  Yay, nothing like the good feeling of getting something done and out of the way.  Now I just have to do the kitchen and the rest of day/evening is mine.  I've been off and on paging through the latest issue of InStyle magazine and realized why I don't read it anymore, it's become too focused on what's trendy.  I mean, they should really change the name to OnTrend because all the layouts are of clothes, hair, and make up of the moment not anything that's shows some potential of staying power.  Style is about how your wear something and what it communicates to the world about you, not are you wear the right brand of jeans.  Anyway, that's just my take on fashion of versus style.  In other news, I'm waiting to hear from the two place I recently sent resumes to but not expecting anything.  I had so many rejection letters that I'm always surprised when I get an email from someplace saying they would like to meet me.  Even then, I don't expect to get offered the job.  It's the usual "we found somebody more qualified than you" response.  I was talking to the Brit BF this morning and he was ready to uncork a bottle of champagne.  I had to tell him don't go to the liquor store just yet.  Really, I'm not holding my breathe on anything.  I got my Covered California health insurance card in the mail yesterday and, frankly I have no idea what to do with it or why I should even bother.  I know it's for health insurance but I feel like I'm not entitled to it just because I have pulse.  Mom thinks I have a real problem with feeling like deserve something good, you think?  I don't know, I mean eventually I'm going to land a job with benefits so I can kiss this undeserved entitlement goodbye.  I feel like such a welfare queen who sits around all day, watches television and eats junk, not bothering to look for any gainful employment.  Yes, I do feel ambivalent about the whole thing.  I doubt I'll use the card but I guess it's nice to have in the wallet.
