Jam Packed Week Ahead

Hello Everyone:

Happy Columbus/ Indigenous People Day.  This is probably one of the biggest non-holidays ever.  I mean, what are we commemorating?  The day Christopher Columbus landed  in the Dominican Republic and claimed it for Spain?  Fine, while we're at it, let's celebrate the day the Dutch landed in New York.  Ridiculous.  Anyway, this week looks to be another jam packed week because not only is there another Jewish holiday but also sis and the family are coming over for lunch on Saturday.  This means that mom will be in her psycho-mom mode.  Time to duck and cover.  Oh well, I think I might finally go to the beauty supply store and pick up some nice bath salts and treat myself to a hot bath on Saturday night after I finish the clean up.  Speaking of sis, from what I've gathered she and the family are having a good time.  There was a pause for concern this morning, I read there was another case of Ebola reported in Texas, their final destination.  Fortunately, they try to avoid sick people and Ebola is not an airborne virus.  All these diseases du jour.  It almost seems like you have to seal yourself off in protective gear and lock yourself in a hermetically sealed space.  What makes it worse is the media and some public figures fanning the flames of hysteria.  Eyeroll, puhleeeeease.  Whatever.  Yours truly will just have to try to not let psycho-mom get to me this week.  The good part is Wednesday evening, Thursday, and Friday are religious holidays so I can spend a day or two in a state of serenity before the family invades.
