Technical Glitches and RV Adventures

Hello Everyone:

I just realized I forgot to share yesterday's post.  I think what happened is in all the chaos surrounding some minor technical glitches on my laptop, I forgot about my post from yesterday.  No worries, I'll just take care of today with a two simple taps on the iPad.  I hate when that happens, distracting technical glitches.  It's enough to drive me up a tree.  At least it happened after I talked to the Brit BF who always has this way of putting me in a good mood.  Also putting me in a relatively good mood was sending off a couple of resumes for openings at two local museums.  They are essentially the same job, different titles.  I felt good about it, more like confident I am a good fit for the job.  I'm not holding my breath, as usual, but I still feel like this is something I can do.  Besides, they'll both leave me time to write and, with a little luck, be able to put money aside for things like car payments and a new laptop.  I have my eye on either a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.

In family news, Mom shared yesterday evening that sis, BIL, and children are doing a road trip through the American Southwest.  They plan on renting an RV and driving from Los Angeles to Dallas; then fly back.  That sounds like a nice idea despite the fact that neither sis or BIL have ever driven an RV and teenage niece is still getting her bearings as a driver.  I told mom that driving an RV is not like driving the family mini-van.  The BIL is going to get off on it while sis and niece will be intimidated by it.  I was just thinking that the five of them cooped up in an a rolling hotel room sounds like a recipe for disaster. I could be wrong but you never know.  I'll send the BIL and sis some information from the National Park Service about the Grand Canyon (somewhere they plan to stop) and some places in New Mexico and Texas.  I'm sure they'll have a lot of fun and maybe learn something.
