"Work Place" Relationship

Hello Everyone:

Last night, I had a a brief conversation with the new guy in which I admitted that I entertained the thought of making love to him.  He was taken aback but, then again, he hasn't been exactly subtle about it as well.  So now that it's out there, I'll let things take there natural course.  In the meantime, I'll be seeing new guy later today.  This relationship has an interesting character trait, low key.  When we're working away at the PLB Business Center, we're very quiet about the exact nature of our connection.  I'm pretty sure no one suspects that we're actually dating, although I think a couple people have their suspicions.  It's not like we're being obvious about it.  Other than some hand holding a discreet peck, we keep it pretty low key.  Truthfully, I don't think anyone else would be surprised if we outed ourselves.  After all, two people working in the same place day-in-day-out can and sometimes do develop feelings for each other.  Thank goodness it's not a supervisor/employee work relationship, then it would be untenable.  It's not a formal work relationship, in the sense that we're in a proper work setting where there are rules about employees getting personally involved with each other.  It's more of a casual setting, which makes it way less uncomfortable.  This brings me back to the idea of sleeping with him.  In a proper work situation, two employees sleeping with each can be a recipe for disaster because, the act takes the relationship to a whole other level.  It goes from just being about casual dating to something that's deeper and more meaningful.  By deciding to make love to the new guy, it deepens the bond of our relationship, strengthens the emotional investment, takes it to a whole other level.  The problems begin when the couple in question start acting out their dramas in the work place. This makes everyone uneasy.  In this respect, I can understand why some companies absolutely forbid employees to get involved with each.  Too many potential real problems.  However, in our case, it's not a proper work setting so sleeping with him doesn't have quite the same potential for catastrophe as would in a real office environment.  Again, I'll let nature dictate the direction.
