We're back for another episode of "My Life Is A Rom-Com." In this episode, new guy sends flirty soccer-related texts to pretty blogger (me), upping the game. The texts revolved around today's semi-final match between Germany and the home team Brazil. New guy is liking Germany in the match and I'm staying neutral, although with Brazil's star player out indefinitely, Brazil may be more fired up. Any way, new guy placed a wager, if Germany wins, I kiss him. If Brazil wins, he kisses me. My answer, "Either way, I win." OMG I cannot believe that came flying out of my brain. What's the matter with me? I have a bf, yet I'm shamelessly flirting with someone who'll be leaving soon. Maybe that's the thrill of it. Regardless, ever since I submitted my thesis and the academic ties cut, I've been a little be of a wild streak. Early mid-life crisis or just plain wanting to experience life? Admittedly, my Wild Girl antics are pretty low-key but nonetheless, different behavior for me. Where did all this shameless flirting come from? It's actually fun and not mention a boost to my self-esteem to be the object of attraction for two very different men. (Pause for a minute) Sorry, I was just yelling at the wallpaper image on my phone. Since I can't yell at DD in person, blame them for providing the sound track to my Rom-Com life, I have to yell and finger point at a picture. Further proof that my romantic life is worthy of a Friends episode or a movie with people named Julia, Amy, Meryl, Diane, Jack, Alec, or Tom. I would have Nancy Mayers or Richard Curtis produce and direct it. Yes, this is my love-life. Truth, I'm enjoying it. Aside from the self-esteem boost, being the object of attraction for two men keeps things interesting. Too bad new guy is leaving on the 26th. I'd love to see how this plays out.
