Ramblings For A Tuesday May 27, 2014

Hello Everyone:

Day's off to a descent start.  I went out for a nice run, although I did stumble on the oh so smooth sidewalk, skinning my right knee and twisting my left ankle.  I'm fine and I can walk without too much pain.  It's just a real inconvenience.  I have to carefully move around somI don't aggravate the injury.  You would think with all the road construction being done around Los Angeles someone would take the time to smooth out the sidewalks.  Of course not.  I doubt it's not much better where you live.  I know it's a day late but this is something that deserves year round attention, The Wounded Warrior Project.  This is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of injured veterans.  If you'd like more information, please go to http://www.woundwarriorproject.org.  In other news, I'm still having fits with his one online job application.  I want the job and I'm trying to be patient with the website but this is getting to too much.  I don't know if it's my computer or the website in general but inputting the required information is enough to want make me gnash my teeth on something.  Hopefully there'll be something tasty in my USC inbox today.  What else to say?  The niece is having a sleepover this weekend, poor (cough) mom and dad (cough).  I know that sounds a little mean, enjoying the fact that their house is being invaded by a group of sixteen and seventeen year old girls but, hey that's when being the aunt is fun.  Right now I'm listening to my new song crush, Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale."  I first heard the cover version of this song awhile back and loved it. Then I listened to the original and loved it.  It's such a pretty song.  Lou Reed's "A Perfect Day" is very close second.  There just certain songs that are so touching that you treasure them.
