One Pissed Off American

Hello Everyone:

I just read something very funny.  According to National Public Radio (http://www.npr.org), more Americans currently prefer cockroaches and hemorrhoids than Congress.  That sort of tells you the pathetic state of affairs in America.  I mean, really, holding an entire country hostage because of an ideological temper tantrum.  I hope you're reading this blog post National Security Agency because I'm one really pissed off American.  I don't give a flying fig if you think the Affordable Healthcare Act is the best thing in the world or part of some demonic socialist plot to destroy the United States, it's the law so deal with it.  Really, a bunch of spoil brat representatives are hell bent on wrecking the country because, heaven forbid, someone who previously didn't have health care now has access to it.  It's the Armageddon as we know it.  Imagine, an average person like yours truly, being able to go to the doctor for a check up.  Oh no, that can't happen.  What's worse, is that federal employees such as my BIL have been furloughed without pay for who knows how long and those a*&holes are still collecting their paychecks.  Is that not the most outrageous thing you've read?  Those spoiled brats should have their checks withheld until they resolve the budget mess.  Better yet, let's take all 535 members of Congress put them in a cheap motel in the middle of nowhere, no food, beverage, air conditioning, electronic or communication devices, television, bathrooms, transportation, heating, plumbing, money until they come to some sort of agreement.  It's like the old saying, would rather be right or happy?  Even more amazing is that their are people in America who actually support these brats.  I'm not one to underestimate the voters but honestly, you have to ask yourself what are the constituents of the brats thinking when they go into the voting booth or fill out their ballot?  More accurately, what are they not thinking?  I know I've often said that America is far from a perfect country.  On good days, like when DOMA was overturned, I'm proud of the land I live in.  On bad days, like now, I start to look over the fence and check out the grass in another country.  Then I remember what's it's fertilized with.  The Shutdown, this shutdown, is disgraceful and embarrassing to all Americans.  It demonstrates what hubris can accomplish.  I sincerely hope that the leaders of the Shutdown face the full fury of the voters and the voters do not forgive or forget.  This voter will not forget.
