Hello Everyone:
Today was less of a frustrating day than yesterday. I got some grocery shopping done and had enough money for some very necessary chocolate. I chatted with the BIL about the money I'm supposed to receive and I think I came up with a plausible way forward. This situation is so typical of mum, take a simple matter and turn it into high drama. This matter will get resolved in my favor but it may require more chocolate. Anyway, it looks as if the smoke, soot, and ash from the brush fires is moving away. There was more blue sky today. So happy about that. At least my apartment doesn't smell like a barbecue pit anymore, not that it's a bad smell. The Brit BF seems to be getting closer to a merchandising deal with the Portuguese soccer club. That would be nice for him and me, in an indirect way. Also good for me is filling out a profile/application for a retail job. This was something I stumbled onto yesterday, walking home from a frustrating appointment at a local bank. The retail job is at a company that makes clothes that I could see myself wearing, which means I can feel comfortable recommending it. Always a good sign. The paycheck and discount definitely doesn't hurt. Another thing I want to look into is working as a contact tracer. It looks most of the work is remote but I would prefer to work in an office somewhere. Also, some of those remote jobs can be a little on the dodgy side. I'll speak to someone about it. Anyway, it's time for dinner.
