It's been a week since my niece announced her engagement and mom has been carrying on for that long. I wish she'd just stop talking about what a mismatch it is. Every day, all day nonstop. Yes, we all know that this is upcoming wedding may not be the best idea but what's done is done. Time to move on to the next thing. Which, in my case, is plotting what to wear. I have some good ideas already. I want something modern. No parade float type dress for me. I have the shoes: a pair of four-inch nude pumps, a pair of open toe magenta shoes, and my badass five inch platform stiletto pumps. I have to find a way to wear them to the ceremony and reception. Wouldn't that be something?
Give those stick up their arse types real pause. Make them a wee bit jealous that I can pull off the stilleto platforms and they can't. Heaven forbid they should wear anything but sensible heels or aggrevate their varicose vein or some nonsense like that. One thing I'm seriously considering is another piercing. Why not? Celebrate the occasion with another piercing. Something else to give the blue hairs pause. Family weddings are good for pulling stuff like this. In the meantime, now I hear the wedding may be in late April, after Passover. Oh well no matza for me, not that I like it anyway. Let's hope mom stops talking about what mismatch it is and I find something to wear.
