Hello Everyone:
Well the Oscars ended on a high note, didn't it? Let's see now, there was the mix up during the "In Memoriam" segment. A very much alive and well Australian producer was included in the segment. Then there was the ultimate gaffe. The wrong movie was named best picture. Oh my goodness, you could feel the embarrassment through the television. No doubt this story has kegs. Apparently this mix up happenednonce before, a long time ago. I give it a couple of days before the whole thing dies down. I did like the candy and cookie drops during the show. Hungry nervous nominees are not good. Even worse, drunk, hungry, nervous nominees. Although that would make for more interesting acceptance soeeches. Maybe next year, the host will order pizza. Otherwise, it was a good day. I posted an article on mass transit in Saudi Arabia and its implications for women. I think that mass transit is part of incremental changes that are and will take place in the Kingdom over the next decade or two. For women, it could mean greater educational and employment opportunities because they won't have to rely on a male driver or a ride sharing service. In all a pretty good day for me.
