Sports Fans

Hello Everyone:

Another good day for me. By good day I mean I posted an new article on public parks and got some stuff done around the house. Now I get to chill out. I was working in the PLB Theater today or, as I refer to it, the WiFi black hole. Usually management has the sports channel on the big screen, why I have no clue. Anyway, the sports channel was carrying on about the start of the World Series and the start of basketball season. As it happens both the start of the World Series and the presentation of the basketball championship rings was in the same city. Naturally the fans went wild. I can sort of understand why the fans were all excited. A city winning a national championship and hosting another is a big deal. It gives a city a sense of pride and place. In this case, the city we're talking about is in the Midwestern Rust Belt and its sports teams have a history of being losers. This year is different. Two of the city's sport teams are doing extremely well. Sports fans are a little crazy. I guess when it comes to team loyalty, anything goes. It's funny to see fan dresses and made up in team colors. It's like how decked out in team gear can get to show your team spirit. Hey, it's all in good fun. The Brit BF is kind of like that with his favorite team. When it comes to soccer, it's Man U all the way. I'm happy to indulge him. He enjoys his sports and doesn't get too insane. At worst, he talks back to the television and can carry on about soccer. We all have are thing in life. Sports is the thing for some people.
