Like Adults

Hello Everyone:

I had a good day today. I had a nice Skype chat with the Brit BF and the main topic of conversation. It was a good conversation, no shouting or name calling, just two people exchanging their views on money.  The focus was the reason for work: his is a paycheck; me is just that enables me to meet my needs. It seems that we're on the same page on that subject. I look at my attitude toward money as more of what I call the economist point of view: money as means of exchange. I get a paycheck in exchange for working a set number of hours. I use that currency as means of exchange at the grocery store or some boutique. It's good that we're having this conversation now, instead after rings and vows have been exchanged (another form of exchange) because this way we have time to get sync on the subject. Money is one of the top two issues that can drive a couple apart. What I liked about it is that we were able to talk about money like two mature people. Where was this guy when I was with the evil ex?  I love having an adult relationship. The rest of the day went pretty well, rain notwithstanding. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully a more productive one.
