Hello Everyone:
As it turns out, my teenage nephew was not getting ahead of himself regarding staying home alone with the minion. Apparently my boneheaded nephew managed to convince his brainless parents that he can stay home alone with his little brother, the whole weekend. Why, you ask? My boneheaded teenage nephew wants to spend "quality time" with his little brother, without any adult supervision. Did you ever hear of a bigger load of bollocks in your life? I mean, why don't they just take out a billboard advertising two minor children home alone. My teenage niece made her own plans to stay with a friend from school, but still. I mean how idiotic are the parents? Where do they think they live, in the middle of nowhere? These two people who don't even lock their front door, thinking that living in a predominantly religious neighborhood is safe. Yes and no. The yes part is that the likelihood of having questionable neighbors is low. The no part is that it is a semi-urban area, near a busy trendy district, and anyone one can play the part of a religious person. These people are clueless. Not locking their front door or letting your underage children stay home alone for an entire weekend with no adult supervision is the height of irresponsible parenting. At least a height of irresponsible parenting. They think they're trying to teach their children responsibility, show that they think they're mature enough and trust them when really, it's a load of crap. Even mom is incensed but there isn't anything either one of us can do about it. After all, it's my idiot sister and BIL's children. As much as I hate to say it, they may have to learn the hard way. Admittedly, that's sound pretty awful but sometimes there's no other way. I really hope they come to their senses soon, very soon, and reconsider their decision. If not for the sake of safety, then for the sake of my sanity because really don't want to hear mom carry on the whole weekend about it. No doubt she'll want to run over their and camp out. I hope this is nothing more than blip on the screen.
