Ready To Go Back To Work
Hello Everyone:
I spent my last day of vacation sleeping late and doing some housework. Exciting, right? Actually sleeping is m one indulgence. I got some dusting done. I still have some more housework to do and I need to make my lunch for tomorrow. Fun times, right? Anyway, instead of complaining how boring my life is, I want to show gratitude for the fact that I have a job to go to. When I think about where I was a year ago and where I am now, I can't believe that my life has gotten so much better. I have a job I like and feel that I thrive. My personal relationships are better and, best of all, I have a wonderful man in my life. I can't beat that if I tried. My life isn't perfect and thank goodness for that. I wouldn't know what to do with a perfect life. I'd be bored silly. What I do know is that life will only get better. Hard work, ambition, and persistance pays. I look forward to going into work tomorrow, ready to get down to business. The first order of business is for the adults to gain control over the class. I don't know about the male J.Crew model TA and the lead teacher but I've had enough of three boys with serious behavior issues, holding the rest of the class hostage to their moods. These boys need more one-on-one attention that I, the male J.Crew model TA, and the lead teacher cannot provide because we have to be attentive to the other boys. If possible, I'd like to see them go to a special education class where they can get the attention they deserve. It's not fair to the rest of the class to have to stop and cater to these boys' mood swings. My hope is that we and the behavior interventionists can sit down, very soon, and develop a strategy because if this keeps up for much longer,it'll end badly. As far as my own plan to get in front of a class, I plan to touch base with the director of education and see if they need someone to work with a lead teacher in social studies/history. If asked whether I'd be willing to take the credential exams, my answer would be yes. Why settle for just being the TA when I can be the teacher. Being the teacher is a lot harder than it looks, mum was teacher, but it's nothing I can't deal with. With the right training, I can be a success. Besides I have a unique way of teaching history, anchor the discussion in a building so that the students connect the event and people with the place.
