Good Prospects

Hello Everyone: I have really been enjoying the few days off from work. I've had a chance to sleep in and not be so manic about everything. I think tomorrow I'll start easing myself back into the work mode, even though I don't have to be back until Thursday. I figure it'll be less of a shock to the system also I want to spend some quality time blogging tomorrow. Today I was at Sis's house for a Jewish New Year lunch. It was nice meal and there was one other person so it was all good. By the time I got home, I was kind of out of it because I had a sip of whiskey that sort of got to me. I have a slightly longer break coming up in about a week and half then it's full steam ahead with school and other things. One of those other things is going after good job leads, like the curatorial assistant job at a local museum. The job search is interesting right now because it seems that no one really wants to go back to the office for a variety of reasons. Fine, that leaves more openings for me. Potential employers seem desparate to hire people to the point where any human being with a university degree and minimal skills will do, at least, that's the impression I have. The jobs I've been applying to are great career jobs and I'd be happy to work any of the places I applied to. It's not that I already hate my current job, I haven't been there that long and it does have career potential. It's just the jobs I recently applied to are more in line with my skills and training. I can definitely see myself moving up from teacher's assistant to teacher with the right training and credentials. Honestly if any or all of the places wanted to meet me, I'd take the meeting. However I can't concern myself with something that hasn't happened, only the here and now.
